John A Gakemeier

John A Gakemeier 65 of Murdock died January 21, 2019 at home
He was born in Lincoln Nebraska on February 17th, 1953 to Robert & Helen Gakemeier
John was preceded in death by his parents
He is survived by a brother Robert and wife Kaye; a sister Nancy
John attend Murdock school graduating in the class of 1971, he then attend Southeast Community at Milford receiving an Applied Associates Degree in Diesel Engines. He began working as a Mechanic at Ash Grove Cement where he worked for 25 Years.
John loved cars and fast cars, which led him to take fifteen trip with his friend to the Indianapolis 500 and events around the area. He was very meticulous a very detailed person which led to a clean garage and a hobby of model cars, not just your craft store models but very high end models. Many were on display in his home, one is here today in the fellowship hall

John and I were great friends attending college in Milford, we roomed together and had many good times that will never be forgotten. John had a 1970 Boss and I had a 1970 Chevelle SS !!!! John you were a Great Friend and I will miss you. Wayne Lempka

Our sincere condolences to you Rob and Nancy for your loss of John. Definitely gone too soon. We have many great memories to remind us of the great guy John was. He will be missed. Sorry we can't be there for the service as we are out of the state, but would have loved to see everyone.
